I'm a firm believer that everything has an inherent value and should not be wasted. I have been experimenting with natural fibres, grasses, vines, recycled materials and other materials found in my local environment to turn what might have been wasted into something useful and pleasing to the eye, hence Waste Not Fibre Designs. Each piece is unique, drawing from whatever comes to hand that sparks my imagination.
One good thing that has occurred this year is being named a Maker in Residence at the Hawkesbury Remakery. Along with 4 other Makers in Residence I'm taking advantage of lockdown to immerse myself in my work. I'm preparing for upcoming exhibitions that will happen once lockdown is over and you will be able to see us all in action once lockdown is finished!
We have benefited from Wentworth Healthcare funding to support us in our creative development.
