Having left a teaching career, I now find that teaching others to weave brings me great joy. To that end I conduct workshops at various locations. Check out what is available at the moment. Class size limit due to Covid 19 only 5 participants per workshop.

You will learn how to prepare and use the inflorescence from a bangalow palm tree to create intricate and delicate sculptural pieces.  Playing with natural fibres is a rewarding experience, as well as a lot of fun.  Come along and foster your creative side in this workshop.  All materials and notes provided.  
A delicious morning tea will be served.

Learn how to create a basket using one of the oldest methods of weaving - twining.  
Create your own unique bowl or basket using natural fibres you may find in the garden.  All materials provided, along with notes and a great morning tea

Raffia is a natural fibre harvested  sustainably from Madagascan palms.  It is a great way to introduce  yourself to coiling a basket. You will use both natural and dyed  raffia.  Embellishments can be added and many will be available for you  to use in this hands on workshop, and yes, you will go home with a small  completed basket!
All materials, notes and morning tea will be  provided.
